This will be the third time these two have met in a World Cup Final. Argentina and Germany met in the Final of two consecutive World Cups in 1986 and 1990. Each team took away the trophy once. Argentina won World Cup title in 1986 and Germany in 1990.

Team News

Argentina is mainly powered by by one man, Lionel Messi, age of 27, will be playing in his first World Cup final. There has been talk of Ángel di María being fit for the final. Argentina won last World Cup title in 1986, when they beat West Germany 3-2. On Sunday, all eyes will be on Lionel Messi. He may be the person, who can make Argentina's dream come true.

German squad have been injury and suspension free throughout the tournament. Müller who scored 14 World Cup goals in just 13 games can do miracle again on Sunday. After scoring seven goals in a single match against Brazil, the confidence of the team is on sky high. Now, they have enough confidence to beat Argentina the way they did in the quarter-finals in 2006 and 2010.

Probable Lineup

Germany (Possible, 4-3-3): Neuer; Lahm, Hummels, Boateng, Höwedes; Khedira, Schweinsteiger, Kroos; Özil, Müller, Götze.
