Germany Wins FIFA World Cup 2014 Title

Germany defeats Argentina, 1-0, to win FIFA World Cup 2014 title. This is a big day for Germany. They win FIFA world cup 2014 against Argentina in extra time.


Substitute Mario Gotze scored the only goal in 112th minute. Both teams missed lots of chances to score a goal in first and second half.  Messi had a free kick in the 122nd minute from about 40 yards out. But the ball went out over the bar.

It was the fourth World Cup title for the Germans, and this is the first time a European team has won the World Cup in competition in the Americas.

The closing ceremony of 2014 World Cup football will take place at the Estadio do Maracana, Brazil, which is one of the biggest stadiums in the world. Shakira will be the main attraction among various performers, making it her third consecutive World Cup performance. Apart from Shakira, the closing ceremony will also be filled with exciting performances of Wyclef Jean, Carlos Santana, Brazilian superstar Ivete Sangalo and Alexander Pires.

The FIFA World Cup 2014 closing ceremony will start at 10:50pm IST on Sunday (2:20 p.m. BRT / 01:20 p.m. EDT / 6:20 p.m. BST) ahead of the final match between Germany and Argentina.
